Recommended Use: Helps maintain/support immune function, helps in the development and maintenance of bones and teeth, helps in absorption and use of calcium and phosphorus. Helps prevent Vitamin D deficiencies.
Recommended Dose: Take one capsule per day with food. To be taken with an adequate intake of calcium. Consult healthcare practitioner for use beyond 6 months.
Cautions & Warnings: Consult health care practitioner prior to use if pregnant or breastfeeding, have a kidney disorder or taking other vitamin D supplements, multivitamin supplements containing vitamin D or products containing vitamin D analogues or using prescription medications including antacids, anticonvulsants, digoxin, cholestyramine, colestipol, mineral oil, steroids, statins, or thiazide diuretics. If undesirable effects occur, discontinue. Although 600-800 IU of vitamin D per day is an adequate amount for most Individuals consult a health care practitioner to determine if you would benefit from an additional amount.
Known Adverse Reactions: Known adverse reactions: Stop use and consult a healthcare practitioner if early symptoms of hypercalcemia occur; weakness fatigue, drowsiness, headache, lack of appetite, dry mouth, metallic taste, nausea, vomiting, vertigo, ringing in the ears, lack of coordination and muscle weakness or any other symptom.
Contra-Indications: Do not take it if you have hypercalcemia and/or hypercalciuria.
