Recommended Use:Traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as a stimulate laxative to help relieve constipation, and as a carminative to ease constipation associated digestive disturbances such as flatulent dyspepsia.
Recommended Dose:ADULTS: Infuse 1-2 tea bags in 150-250 mL of boiling water. Allow the herbs to steep for at least 10 minutes. Take a single dose at bedtime. Take two to three times per week. If results are not observed, the frequency of use may be increased up to once daily. Allow at least 6 to 12 hours for laxative effect to occur. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications or health products.
Cautions & Warnings:Do not use if you: 1) are pregnant or breastfeeding 2) have abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, potential or existing intestinal blockage, atonic bowel, appendicitis, inflammatory colon disease such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, abdominal pain of unknown origin, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, severe dehydration with depleted water or electrolytes 3) have hypokalemia, high blood pressure or a kidney/cardiovascular disorder 4) are allergic to plant of the Asteraceae or anethole family. Do not combine with other laxatives. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you: 1) are taking blood thinners, thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, licorice root or other medications or health products that may aggravate electrolyte imbalance 2) are taking cardiac medications such as cardiac glycosides or antiarrhythmic medications 3) have anaemia, gallstones, a liver disorder, faecal impaction or symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever. Consult a health care practitioner: 1) if symptoms persist or worsen 2) for use beyond 7 days. Reduce dose or discontinue use if you experience abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and/or diarrhea. Hypersensitivity/allergy is known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. Keep out of reach of children. Store at room temperature. SECURITY SEALED FOR YOUR PROTECTION.
