This double-duty sponge is kind on the planet but tough on messes. One side is plant-based cellulose while the other is an abrasive made from walnut shells. These pads will not cause a reaction in those allergic to nuts. Use as you would any other household cleaning sponge; keep sponge sanitary by washing with hot, soapy water and allowing to dry between uses.
