The rich herring fishery of Norway is an important source of food for the Norwegian people. Whole Earth & Sea Herring Gold contains ROMEGA® 30 herring roe extract, sustainably sourced from Norwegian spring-spawning herring. It contains the essential omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA with choline and astaxanthin. Herring omega-3 fatty acids are in an easily absorbed phospholipid form, which is the same form found in human cell membranes. Taking omega-3s in phospholipid form significantly enhances the rate of absorption and bioavailability.
Herring roe is a source of EPA and DHA for the maintenance of good health. Choline is a vitamin-like nutrient and astaxanthin is a carotenoid that offers additional support.
Herring Gold provides more omega-3 phospholipids than krill oil. Herring is classified as a “species of least concern” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, and is considered a sustainable alternative to krill for omega-3 sources.
Herring Gold is guaranteed non-GMO and taken as one 1000 mg softgel per day. The softgels are small and easy to swallow, with no fishy aftertaste.
Recommended Use: Omega-3 fatty acids, including DHA and EPA, support cognitive health and brain function, as well as cardiovascular health.
Recommended Dose: Recommended adult dose: 1 softgel daily or as directed by a health care practitioner.
