Silken and quietly complex, Ceylon Cinnamon is a thin layer of inner bark. It’s taken from a small tree that grows in warm, humid regions and is a famous export of Sri Lanka. It’s often called True or Sweet Cinnamon.
Steeped into tea, Cinnamon is a classic in South Asian cuisine. Compared with the baking cinnamon (more properly called Cassia), this cup stays gentle and rounded, with a soft sweetness rather than a sharp, hot bite.
This tea tastes mild, sweet, and softly floral, with notes of light honey and citrus peel, and a warmth that builds slowly. The tea’s hue is amber to rosy-gold with a full, rounded mouthfeel and a clean finish.
Recommended Use: About Chamomile - This tea offers a gentle, sweet, and floral taste with subtle apple-like notes and a smooth finish. When brewed, it creates a golden infusion and is certified organic for quality and purity.
Recommended Dose: Use spring or filtered water. Good water is an essential part of brewing a great cup of tea. Relax. Some of the most enjoyable aspects of tea are the calmness and ritual that surround it. Take some time for tea!
- Quick Brew Directions: Pour freshly boiled water over tea bags in your chosen mug, cover, and let steep 3 to 5 minutes to taste.
- Full Strength (infusion) Directions: Ceylon Cinnamon is best when exposed to high temperatures for only a short period of time. Be sure that your water is at a rolling boil when you pour it over your tea bags. Use one tea bag per cup of boiling water, cover and steep for 10–15 minutes.
