Babassu is similar to in texture to coconut oil, but without the distinctive coconut scent. It is a nutritive and protective oil. Due to its high lauric acid content, it is valued in hair care as one of the few oils that penetrates the hair shaft. Wonderful for scalp mask too.
Babassu est similaire à l’huile de noix de coco, mais sans le parfum distinctif de la noix de coco. En raison de sa teneur élevée en acide laurique, il est apprécié dans les soins capillaires comme l’une des rares huiles qui pénètre la tige du cheveu. Shelf Life: Up to 24 months after opening, as long as properly stored.
Storage: Always keep tightly sealed in a cool, dark place. Heat, oxygen, and light degrade the product.
Can be used at 100%, dilution. It works particularly well in an 85-90% dilution with another oil that is more fluid, such as calendula, jojoba or sweet almond oil.
